  Fine BEFORE the sale ! However, lady owner seems to have very little interest in doing anything out of the ordinary to BUILD friendships or to engender repeat business or customer LOYALTY after the sale. I had many issues with the first boat I bought from them (and received no care, concern or compensation toward the process of making it right. I tend to be a forgiving person (and considered that the first one might have been an anomaly), so a couple of years later my son and I purchased another boat from them. Same THING ! Many issues. NO CARE, CONCERN OR COMPENSATION for helping to make it right. They will BRAG about being in business for over 30 years and may attempt to dismiss your complaints about customer service by touting that fact. Some of their "success" in business at this location might be owed simply to its geographic location conveniently and centrally located in IL. They also market very aggressively via the internet and do a good job of luring in new people buying at pre-determined nationwide prices. Customer service AFTER THE SALE is critical when you own a boat, and my experiences taught me that I can expect no favors, care, concern or customer-retaining considerations AFTER the sale. My experiences at Hank's Sales and Service have each suggested that the DOLLAR BILL IS KING and getting YOURS seems to be their only motivation. (My wife and I own our own business, too, and I know how a business must conduct itself to make a profit...but when a business LOSES customers that it could have kept with some simple CONSIDERATION...they are likely to have lost those customers forever. Such is the case for me, my son and many friends with whom we boat and fish. It may be a little farther drive for some in my circle of friends, but we are now and forevermore going to the East Side of Springfield or Canton, IL or Pekin, IL, where we, as a group, have found considerate business people who WANT to convey to you that they are willing to do the extra things that will earn your business, your RETURN business...and YES, even their friendship, mutual respect and loyalty !!! I HAVE NEVER GOTTEN THAT FEELING AT HANK'S, and they have squandered their last opportunity to retain us as a pretty good and regular bunch of boating and fishing sportsman's group member customers.
